Reborn: The Mastermind Behind the World

No mindless antics, no face-slapping, no pointless rambling: a tightly paced story. The protagonist's previous life was happy and fulfilled, with no regrets. After being reborn, he originally planned to carry on with the life he'd lived before, but everyone connected to him had vanished without a trace. Yet the course of society and history at the start of this life was much the same as in his previous one. Then more and more people who had been reborn appeared, along with people with special abilities and System owners, and eventually cultivators. The protagonist watched it all unfold from the sidelines as he made his way to the peak! All you can say is that he was born lucky. Who can argue with that?
