Transmigrating into the Three Kingdoms and Possessing Liu Xie: Changing the Course of History is a historical transmigration novel set amid the chaos of the Three Kingdoms. The protagonist, Ye Chen, unexpectedly transmigrates into the body of Emperor Xian of Han, Liu Xie, at the end of the Eastern Han dynasty. The Han court is in decline, Dong Zhuo is wreaking havoc in the government, the realm is in turmoil, and the warlords have carved it up.
In this turbulent era, Liu Xie draws on his modern knowledge and insight into history, determined to change the Han dynasty’s fate. He cleverly enlists the allied warlords and successfully captures Luoyang, crushing Dong Zhuo’s faction and taking Lu Bu alive. But after the city falls, the situation grows even more complicated.
Within the court, officials have their own agendas. Some sincerely help Liu Xie restore the Han dynasty, while others harbor ulterior motives and seek to profit from the chaos. Liu Xie must navigate these rivalries, clean up officialdom, promote capable talent, and restore order to the court. Meanwhile, the warlords command their own armies and watch Liu Xie’s every move with suspicion and resentment. Yuan Shu is ambitious and dreams of becoming emperor. Yuan Shao joins forces with several warlords to curb Liu Xie’s power, even threatening him under the pretext of “purging the emperor’s attendants.” Liu Biao and other warlords watch from the sidelines, waiting for their chance to act.
Faced with threats from within and without, Liu Xie refuses to back down. He sets about forming an imperial guard to strengthen his military power, consults his ministers on how to respond, balances rewards with punishments, and drives a wedge into the warlord alliance. He also attempts to persuade Lu Bu to surrender and serve him. At the same time, he attends to the people’s livelihood, opening granaries to distribute grain and reducing taxes in an effort to restore life to Luoyang and win the people’s support.
Throughout this journey, Liu Xie faces one crisis and challenge after another, and every decision he makes affects the fate of the Han dynasty
This work takes a unique approach among the vast literature on traveling through the Three Kingdoms. It chooses the special carrier Liu Xie, Emperor Xian of the Han Dynasty, to place the traveler between the disintegration of imperial power and the separatism of the heroes. Different from the common routines of cool novels, the author replaces the "Long Aotian" mode with "Breakthrough from Dilemma". Through the setting that the protagonist needs to deal with the triple pressure of the suppression of powerful ministers, the covetousness of princes and historical inertia at the same time, he pioneered the narrative paradigm of "the shackled time traveler".
