Lu Jiuyuan, a mounted officer of the Imperial Brocade Guard, was framed while investigating the Jianwen Emperor's remaining loyalists. Hunted by his fellow officers on a stormy night, he fled into the mountains and discovered a mysterious tomb passage beneath an abandoned temple.
The bronze mirror formation in the tomb concealed the secrets of the Nine Palaces and Eight Trigrams. The murals revealed the hidden history of the Jingnan Campaign, while the seven-star hanging coffins concealed traces of the Jianwen Emperor. When Lu Jiuyuan was ambushed by a living corpse, he discovered a mysterious jade cicada in the face of death.
