[Romance + traditional Chinese music + soulmates + helping each other thrive]
Yu Zhi, a star employee in the marketing department of Jiangshan Dairy, is “exiled” to an ecological farm in an obscure little town to gain experience, all because of the grand promises painted by her boss, Jiang Ye.
Her two-faced coworker gleefully arranges for a drum troupe to celebrate her “promotion.” But Yu Zhi is stunned when the troupe arrives: its leader, Ye Wei of the Cao Family Troupe, is supposedly dead. She once witnessed his grand funeral with her own eyes!
That is how Yu Zhi, a proud self-management guru, meets Ye Wei, the unorthodox leader of the drum troupe.
As she spends time with the Cao Family Troupe, she falls in love with this man who has “returned from the dead.” She comes to understand the beauty of drum music and the power of passing a tradition down through generations. She also discovers what makes the troupe unique: every member was once cast aside by life, and the person who gave them all a home was the very one who abandoned her.
If love had weight, it would surely weigh as much as a mountain.
The drum troupe’s summer is bright and passionate, and one of its secrets has always had something to do with her.
