At that time, I, a country tomboy, was preoccupied with things in the big world. You can tell me that I was born in the mountains, but my heart is very wild. I always think about places like the seaside, plateaus, and deserts. Even after I graduated from high school, I still had to stretch out on a wooden bed as hard as a rock during the summer vacation; even after I entered a factory and repeated boring tasks like a robot every day; even after I went to graduate school and spent every day reading articles and dealing with agriculture and rural areas, the hunger for distant places in my heart was still there.
I often wonder by myself, how wide the sea is; how high the mountains must be; and how big a piece of yellow land the desert must be! I usually can only take a look at these things from books or TV, but they are like living pictures, wandering around in my mind.
I understand very well that walking out of the mountains and climbing over the Langlang Mountain is not just to escape the poor days and backwardness. We have to find the freedom in our hearts and pursue our dreams. Even if there is a pitch-black unknown ahead, even if the road is so long that it can circle the earth three times, even if there are so many obstacles that it can trip up an elephant, I am a person who accepts it and does not give up!
I just believe that one day, we will be able to walk out of this mountain in an upright manner and climb over the Langlang Mountain. Let people see that we, a child in the mountains, also have dreams!
