The story of Empress Zhangsun's rise during the flourishing Tang Dynasty. In the fifth year of the Daye era, Guanyin Bi's father passed away. After her half-brother drove her, her mother Gao Shi, and her biological elder brother Zhangsun Wuji out of their home, they went to live with her uncle Gao Shilian. From then on, she began a journey of growth, cultivating both her inner and outer self.
At the age of nine, she happened to meet Li Shimin, son of the Duke of Tang. Amid the chaos of a troubled age, the two stood together through every hardship and eventually became a devoted couple.
After their marriage, Guanyin Bi never sought the spotlight. She gave her all to help Li Shimin win and secure the empire, and, with no desire for power or fame, used her good reputation to become the greatest winner among the royal daughters-in-law.
With a wise ruler, a virtuous empress, and upright ministers, the realm prospered through civil and military achievements, with harmony, warmth, and kindness.
In its early years, the Great Tang Dynasty reached the ideal age that later generations would yearn for: the Reign of Zhenguan.
