I Won a Thousand Yuan at the Lantern Festival, and the Boss’s Wife Made Me Pay a Hundred Thousand

At the Lantern Festival company meeting, I won first prize: a 500-yuan bonus. The boss’s wife generously doubled the prize, so I ended up with 1,000 yuan. Then my buddies and the boss’s wife egged me on to treat everyone to dinner. What they really wanted was for me to foot the bill for the company’s Lantern Festival gathering. If I refused, my buddies would cut ties with me, and the boss’s wife would fire me. Under pressure, I finally treated everyone, only to end up paying an extra 100,000 yuan out of pocket. After I settled the bill, they left me behind while I was drunk. I froze to death on the roadside. When I opened my eyes again, I was back on the day of the Lantern Festival meeting.
