Synopsis

Pairing: Megatron x Optimus Prime. A tyrant's forceful love versus a saint who hides a dark side

Content warning: angst, with sweetness after the heartbreak. In the bonus chapters, the characters transmigrate across parallel universes to save the ending readers couldn't accept. The story is split evenly between the two parts.

If you're worried about the angst, we strongly recommend reading the final chapter and bonus chapters first. Everyone who's read them says they're great!

Data streams surged as Megatron's fusion cannon locked onto Optimus Prime's spark chamber. Scarlet arcs crackled in the tyrant's eyes. “Why can't I kill you?!”

“Because you carved that command into me with your own hands!” Optimus pressed a fingertip to Megatron's chest.

Memories resurfaced: cannon fire pierced Orion's chest in the council hall, and trembling, Megatron overlaid the lethal program with scarlet code.

The gods' observation screen revealed the truth: “This so-called cycle of archrivals is a shackle the tyrant forged himself.”

When chains from another universe pierced Optimus's fading image, alarms blared in Megatron's core. He tore open space, shattering the chains with a quantum pulse. “His fate isn't yours to decide!”

“Whom, exactly, has the cage you built trapped?” The gods' sigh echoed.

Optimus traced the cracks in Megatron's chest armor. “Are you still going to act out this script of destiny?”

Megatron swept him into his arms and plunged into the surging space bridge. “This time, I'll rewrite the ending!”

Their entwined sparks burst into a blue-violet vortex. Amid the rushing data streams, the tyrant's declaration rang across time and space: “He is my eternal archenemy!”

Scarlet code became a protective program, coiling around the spark. When murder gave way to protection, the tyrant became his leader's most dangerous shield.

[System warning: This universe's timeline contains mutual code-based imprisonment, a deicide-command paradox, and a tyrant's self-domestication. Observers, please wear

Out of Books to Read? Come On In

Looking for books like Craving Beauty. I haven’t really gotten into a book in ages. The male lead is practically every woman’s dream, and some of the scenes feel very realistic. He’s not domineering and over-the-top like the guys in other books. It’s definitely worth reading.
