The Snake-Wielding Sect

Since ancient times, China has had a folk tradition of secret arts whose practitioners inherit a special family bloodline and forge blood pacts with a particular kind of animal spirit. They can communicate with, control, heal, summon, and fight alongside the animal spirits unique to their sect. Among these schools, the Snake-Commanding Sect of Fule Village in western Hunan is one of the oldest, a sect that commands snake immortals. Its mysterious and powerful arts have inspired enduring legends among the various sects that command immortals. The protagonist, Jiang Haoyang, is the sect's sole successor. At the age of fourteen, he began training under his grandfather to become a master of commanding immortals. Four years later, following his grandfather's instructions, he went down the mountain and, by a twist of fate, met Tang Meng, a beautiful young policewoman. The two became an unlikely crime-solving duo, with Tang Meng using Jiang Haoyang's supernatural abilities to crack one strange case after another. But fate had other plans: Grandpa Jiang was suddenly caught up in an incident... His missing father, the secrets of his sect, and the sudden arrival of dark forces all push Haoyang's fate toward an unknown future...
