There are a lot of misuses of idioms.
Originally it was the end of one chapter, and the synopsis always described the original owner's suffering in detail, and the revenge of the abuser was just mentioned in one stroke. You are not writing a cool article about revenge of the abuser, but more like exaggerating the suffering of the original owner.
