Rugged chef top x sweet, gentle beauty bottom
[Two male leads + transmigration into a book + healing food + farming and imperial exams + childbirth]
Jiang Lin transmigrates into a book, becoming a minor character who shares his name but only survives for three chapters.
The original Jiang Lin was a layabout. After he harassed the story’s bottom, Su He, the top sent him to prison. The two leads fell for each other as a result, while the original Jiang Lin caught a chill and died in prison at the end of chapter three.
Once he learns all this, Jiang Lin makes it clear that he has no intention of being a cannon fodder character. He decides to stay away from the two leads and live a quiet, peaceful life of his own.
But after a series of twists and turns, Jiang Lin still gets entangled with the story’s bottom. The young man kneels before him, disheveled and streaked with tears.
“Please, marry me and take me away,” the young man sobs. “I don’t eat much, and I can work really hard.”
Softhearted, Jiang Lin takes the young man home as his husband. His little husband is so sweet and gentle that Jiang Lin can’t help adoring him, and secretly vows to treat him well.
His husband is pitifully thin, so Jiang Lin makes sure to feed him well, until he’s plump and rosy-cheeked. The couple open a shop and go into business together, while supporting Jiang Lin’s younger sister through the imperial exams. Their life grows happier by the day.

After his mother died, his father married a stepmother. Cruel and heartless, she made Su He suffer at home, but he silently endured it for the sake of his little sister.
When his stepmother tried to sell him as a concubine for money, Su He fled home with his sister. With nowhere else to turn, he desperately knocked on the door of the village layabout, begging him to take them in.
Su He thought he was jumping from one bad situation into another, but the man gave up his layabout ways and treated him wonderfully. He made him delicious food every day, and their life grew better and better.
