"Ye Ning, what is it you really want?"
"What I, Ye Ning, want is to unite the realm and end all wars. I want to carve out vast territories for generations to come, and make every nation in the world honor Huaxia!"
Ye Ning, a special forces soldier, dies in the line of duty during a mission in the southern frontier. When he awakens, he has transmigrated into an era of turmoil much like the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms. Though he is the legitimate eldest son, his mother died young and his father remarried, leaving him to suffer every kind of humiliation. In the end, he is beaten so badly that he is driven out of the Ye family.
With help from a blacksmith and his daughter, Ye Ning joins the army at the border. Drawing on his special forces training and knowledge of battles throughout history, he gradually establishes himself in the ranks. He fights off Khitan invasions while steadily winning hearts and taking control of the troops.
Once he has secured a foothold in the north, Ye Ning sets out to overthrow the corrupt court and establish a new regime. At the same time, to end the chaos and conflict as quickly as possible, he begins planning campaigns westward and southward to unify the country.
The author's writing style is plain, down-to-earth, story-telling, and readable. In fact, there is no need to hide history, and it is not a bad idea to just write about Shi Jingtang. There is no need to get a stone pond to appear in this article
Author, this book is beautiful. The plot has ups and downs and is fascinating. It's a pity that this book was suddenly discontinued at the end. I hope to see a sequel to this book one day.
