The protagonist, Lin Feng, was born in a martial arts family in a small town in the south of the Yangtze River and has learned good kung fu since he was a child. Because his family was framed by a traitor and his whole family was wiped out, Lin Feng escaped by chance and rushed to Shanghai with a bloody feud. This is a place where various forces are mixed, including the Qing Gang and the Hong Gang who dominate one side, as well as the infiltration of foreign forces such as the Japanese Black Dragon Society. When Lin Feng first arrived in Shanghai, he encountered rough roads and had a conflict with a young Green Gang leader. He met Su Yao, a street performer.
