I am a middle-aged man, over forty, and my family and career are gradually getting on the right track. Every morning, I get up on time and prepare breakfast for myself and my daughter in a hurry. He took on more housework and childcare responsibilities. My daughter just entered elementary school this year. After school every day, I drive her home and talk about her interesting things at school in the car.
In terms of work, I am a middle-level manager in a technology company with 10 colleagues in my team. There's a lot of pressure. Although the job is stable, I still feel anxious and often worry about whether I can maintain an advantage in the fierce competition in the workplace. During lunch time, my colleagues and I often gather at a nearby small restaurant to chat about work, family, and even occasional entertainment gossip.
On weekends, I go out with my family or meet up with some old friends. Although life is ordinary, I still enjoy these ordinary times. Occasionally, I lament that as I get older, the focus of my life gradually shifts from career to family.
Although I feel tired sometimes, whenever I see my family around me, my inner satisfaction always relieves all the stress in my life. In my opinion, the warmth of family and the small daily blessings are the life I cherish the most.
