The Flowers Have Fallen Today

Three hours before they were due to register their marriage, Song Shixu sat at the civil affairs bureau waiting for Xie Nanzhou, checking her phone again and again. She had sent him a flood of messages, but he hadn't replied to a single one.

Two hours before they were due to register, Song Shixu's phone rang: [Baby, I'm in a meeting. Just wait a little, okay?]

One hour before they were due to register, Song Shixu answered an emergency call from the hospital and hurried outside.

When the time came to register, Song Shixu looked down at the reminder she'd set in advance, tapped to dismiss it, and opened her contacts.

“Hello, I'd like to make a few changes to the wedding that's happening in half a month.”

“Yes, the bride's name. Change it to Xia Li.”
