My Wife Is Going to Teach in the Daliang Mountains, and I Personally See Her Off

While doing my wife’s laundry, I accidentally found a train ticket to Daliangshan in her coat pocket.

That was how I discovered she had secretly signed up for a fifteen-year teaching assignment there.

Her first love was teaching there too.

With two weeks left before departure, my wife had an abortion and ended our child’s life.

She contacted her best friend, friends, family, and former colleagues, and held farewell dinners over and over.

She just never told me she was leaving.

Three days before she was due to go, I quietly bought a ticket for a train leaving from the same platform as hers, but bound for a completely different destination.

On the day of departure, I boarded the train as my wife stared at me in shock.

I also handed her the divorce papers and the evidence that her first love had molested students.
