[A genuinely vicious heroine + heroine's growth + no fixed pairing + strong male lead, even stronger female lead + System plays a major role early on + bittersweet endings in the individual worlds]
Ning Shu is a female ghost born from a century's worth of human curses and resentment. She can neither live nor die.
000 is a useless little System from the Void System Bureau, determined to prove itself even if it has to go hungry.
After 000 relentlessly pestered her and tempted her with the promise of reincarnation, Ning Shu climbed aboard its ship. They traveled through three thousand worlds, winning over devoted second male leads and earning huge sums of points, each making her own way to the top.
But Ning Shu couldn't understand why the second male leads were always gentle, courteous, and refined gentlemen around the heroines, yet became obsessive, sinister, unhinged, and wildly possessive around her. Ning Shu wasn't worried. She was ready to see who could be more unhinged.
World One: [Viciously beautiful demon-world enchantress X cold, unhinged righteous sect senior brother who's secretly a schemer]
World Two: [Black-lotus heiress X calculating, beautiful actor]
World Three: [Ruthless, wicked princess consort X outwardly one way, inwardly another, deeply calculating prince]
World Four: [Domineering princess X gentle physician]
…
More small worlds unlocking…
No snake or scorpion was seen, only emotional indifference. 😅
The transition between the heroine being believable and unreliable at once is a bit stiff. I'm here to see the guide, not to watch some grilling here and there.
