The Fake Heiress Turns the Minister of Revenue into Her Admirer

Waking up in a mass grave, Ye Xiaoxing discovers she has transmigrated into a book. She has landed in the story of The Real and Fake Heiresses, the book she was reading before bed last night. But she has ended up in the wrong role: not the heroine, but the fake heiress, the vicious supporting character. The legitimate daughter of the Minister of Rites and the senior disciple of the Celestial Master Sect, she becomes an object of scorn overnight when the real heiress, Ye Miaomiao, shows up. Ye Xiaoxing cannot understand why everyone berates her whenever Ye Miaomiao cries. She only snapped back a few times, so why does everyone want her dead? In the book, Ye Xiaoxing is rescued from the mass grave by her junior fellow disciple, Xia Huainian, but she wants revenge and justice. Ignoring all advice, she gets involved with the Third Prince, only to become his pawn and cause the Princess Royal's tragic death. She tries to use the Third Prince to get back at Ye Miaomiao, but every time, she seems to be the one caught in the trap. She ends up covered in wounds, and even Xia Huainian, who once cared for her, turns away and abandons her. In the end, she is thrown into prison and sentenced to execution after the autumn harvest. No! She still had three chapters left to read, but fell asleep just as Ye Miaomiao was about to reveal the mystery of her birth. Still, it does not matter. Ye Xiaoxing, who has transmigrated into the book, will live on in Ye Xiaoxing's place from now on. As the youngest deputy captain of the major crimes unit, she will uncover the truth piece by piece and rewrite the ending. I won't let you be caned and exiled to the frontier for pleading on my behalf in the end. I, Ye Xiaoxing, have the script in hand and formidable martial arts skills. I solve one unsolved case after another, eventually becoming the first woman in the Great Xia Dynasty to serve as Minister of Justice.
