In my imagination, if there were figures like Lin Xiuyuan during the Nanyang period, China would have risen faster, and many of our compatriots who were squeezed out and massacred in Nanyang would not have followed Lin Xiuyuan and returned to Nanyang in the late Qing Dynasty.
