Fusu is reading medical texts in his bedchamber when a secret report suddenly arrives: Hu Hai has been secretly consorting with the world of immortal cultivation. Using an art of concealment inherited from the Sage of Medicine, Fusu slips into Hu Hai’s residence at night and discovers him in a private conversation with a man in black robes. He overhears the stranger claim to be from the “Xuanyin Sect” and promise to help Hu Hai seize the throne.
