[Reborn woman vs. transmigrated woman + palace intrigue + satisfying power fantasy + dual heroines + two strong leads]
Wei Yanwan, the vicious supporting character in Ruyi’s Royal Love in the Palace, is reborn after her death. Provoked by the on-screen comments, she awakens to her own agency and breaks free of the plot, no longer willing to be a mere pawn. From palace maid to consort, she plans her every move. This time, she’ll take back everything that belongs to her.
Shushen, the Empress in Story of Yanxi Palace, unexpectedly transmigrates into the body of Ruyi, the heroine of Ruyi’s Royal Love in the Palace, after sacrificing her hair. Now that Shushen is here, Da Ru’s useless life should come to an end.
Yanwan: “There’s something not quite right about this Ruyi. Why is the plot veering further and further off course in this new life, and why is she even harder to deal with than she was in my last one?”
Shushen: “Everyone else in this palace is more or less manageable. There’s only one exception. It seems the Wei family’s daughter is a handful wherever she goes.”
Content warning: No Ruyi content at all, and little connection to the original plot. You can read it as a pure palace-intrigue power fantasy.
The writing is so good 🥰 The previous book Ruyi was reborn was very well written, and this time the double heroine is equally well written 🥰 Shu Shen and Yan Wan, one travels through time and the other is reborn 🥰
Personally I feel pretty good, no bad intentions
A good book worthy of 9 points or above. There is no absolute villain, the characters are not occ, the plot is not draggy, and the writing is sophisticated.
Help, it's so good, the plot is compact, the writing is good, and I feel that every character fits the original work very well, including their way of speaking.
Coming from the last book, this one is as exciting as ever. I love watching the interlocking plots.
Keep reading, I came from another book, and finally there is a novel about Yan Wan's rebirth without a full black heroine.
