The male lead had Chen Xi put on a show, then texted the female lead as a stranger, pushing her to the brink and drawing her into his plan. After the female lead faked her death, he went to the hospital to identify the body. Afraid someone might realize it wasn’t her, he had it cremated right away. No one suspected a thing.
Shen’s father invited the male lead to dinner. He didn’t think much of the illegitimate daughter whose identity was unknown, but the male lead shut him down after just a few words. To comfort the female lead, the male lead even told her how to get revenge on them. The female lead applied for a job at Dream Chaser Entertainment, while the male lead contacted the person who had sent him an anonymous letter earlier [the letter had supposedly been sent by email] to demand the antidote. [Maybe she was already dead, but he was curious what poison the female lead had taken… and so on… He was really laying it on thick.]
That person was Shen Youluo.
Although Shen Youluo was glad that her thorn in the side was gone, she still felt uneasy. So she made one last demand of the male lead: she wanted him to be with her.
