The Prince of Tennis: Rikkai, the Child of God and Liuli

Aya no Koji Kiyori is the eldest son of the old aristocratic Aya no Koji family in Kyoto. At his mother's request, he travels to Kanagawa to keep his grandparents company.

On his first day at his new school, he meets a boy in the classroom, wearing a jacket and smiling gently: Yukimura Seiichi.

A game of tennis lets two extraordinary people see one another. Yukimura's Five Senses Destruction can rob his opponents of their perception, but it cannot plunge Kiyori into darkness. Kiyori's Glass Eyes can see through anything, yet all he wants is to draw closer to those violet eyes.

From their first year of junior high to their third, they are the twin pillars of Rikkai's tennis club, the architects of sixteen consecutive Kanto titles, and champions of three straight national tournaments. They are each other's one and only exception, the reason the Child of God is no longer lonely, and the answer to why the glass-eyed boy is willing to stay in this city.

Here you'll find the strict yet warm-hearted Emperor Sanada, the strategist Yanagi Renji, whose data can't account for everything, and Kirihara Akaya, who grows from a reckless troublemaker into a club captain. And you'll find a group of boys with “might makes right” etched into their bones. There is no single pillar, because every member of Rikkai is one.

This is a story about growing up, bonds, and love.

Three years, four seasons, the coast of Kanagawa, beneath the cherry blossoms.

They promised to be together forever.

Dual male leads, with a couple. The romance may develop slowly at first.
