The Summer You Kissed Me

[High school romance + bickering couple + neither lead has been with anyone else + everyday life + lighthearted + happy ending + they choose each other]

"A competitive, two-faced puppy who can’t recognize faces × a scheming, food-loving girl with a fierce work ethic"

Hua Xunnian picks fights with everyone, especially Zhiyue, and has no mercy for anyone. He’s arrogant and cocky, but could there really be a tender side beneath that swagger?

At first he kept saying he wanted to study, but as soon as he sat down, he’d fall asleep on his desk. Then he happened to hear Zhiyue’s five standards for a partner, and started studying and working out like crazy, all to become good enough for her.

The boy will slowly grow up. The rebellious, prickly young man learns to lower his defenses, all so he can embrace her.

But one summer, the girl tells him she likes him. He keeps his feelings bottled up and, no matter how much he likes her, turns her down. He watches her walk away, then becomes just like her.

After graduation, encouraged by his friends, he stops running from his feelings. Without worrying about what might happen, he sets out on the long road to win her back.
