In the distant future, humanity has conquered interstellar travel, forging close ties between planets. Yet the universe is far from peaceful: struggles over resources and clashes between interstellar powers are frequent.
Lin Fan is an ordinary boy living on a remote planet, where resources are scarce and technology relatively backward. His days are spent going to school and helping his parents tend the small farm at home. His life is utterly uneventful.
But Lin Fan has always cherished an unusual dream: to become an interstellar mecha warrior. At night, he often gazes up at the stars, imagining himself piloting a powerful mecha through the vast universe and into battle.
One day, an envoy from the Interstellar Alliance arrives on Lin Fan’s planet. The envoy brings news that the Alliance is recruiting young talent and training them as mecha warriors to face the increasingly complex situation in the universe.
Without hesitation, Lin Fan signs up for the selection trials. Though he has neither outstanding talent nor an influential background, his unwavering resolve and tireless effort carry him through one difficult test after another.
At last, Lin Fan is selected and sets off for the Interstellar Alliance’s training base. There, he encounters all kinds of advanced mecha and makes friends from planets across the stars.
The training, however, is grueling. The intense physical conditioning and complex lessons in mecha operation prove too much for many. But Lin Fan never gives up. Every day, he is the first to arrive at the training grounds and the last to leave.
