After the Three Realms endured the Shadow War, peace returned for a time. Ne Zha and Ao Bing each devoted themselves to cultivation and protecting the realm. A mysterious star rose from the depths of the universe, disrupting the spiritual energy of the Three Realms and causing alarm in Heaven and panic among humanity. Ne Zha faced a choice: investigate the star or protect Chentang Pass. With everyone’s support, he finally set out on his journey. Reuniting with Yang Jian, he discovered that the star was the prison of an ancient power bent on returning and ruling the Three Realms. The realms prepared for war as dark forces repeatedly battered the seal. Even with reinforcements from every realm fighting together, danger still loomed on all sides. Ne Zha’s true spirit awakened and suppressed the dark forbidden art. Their investigations revealed that the “Source of Light” in a mysterious space beyond the Three Realms might turn the tide. And so Ne Zha, Ao Bing, and Yang Jian embarked on an adventure, braving fog-shrouded monsters, eerie rivers, baffling castle labyrinths, and other perils in search of the three keys needed to open the way to the “Source of Light.”
