In the year 355 of the Purple River calendar, a meteorite from beyond the realm crashes into the East River Continent, sparking a covert war between the demon race and the Luminous Empire.
The demons spread rumors that "darkness will devour the light," attempting to undermine the empire from within.
A century later, the Luminous Empire has fallen, and the wolf clan has risen. Sikou He, the young lord of the wolf clan, grew up with Liu Ruyan as his childhood sweetheart (she is an existing character with another identity, not an original character in the plot), but family scheming and a political marriage force them apart.
The story starts at Chapter 19, so you can skip the earlier chapters. Go straight to Chapter 19; it won't affect your reading.
