Who Told You to Cultivate Immortality?

At night in Pei Village, a group of children laughed and played. Outside the window, they chanted in unison: "Death Mountain, the Great Demon, kills without end and gouges out eyes; Great Demon Mo Jianchou, alone and forlorn, cold and cruel; Pei Village kids, don't you roam, if you see the demon, run for home." Orphaned as a child, Pei Siyuan was adopted by her uncle. She had heard her mother was in the Immortal Realm, and devoted herself to cultivation in hopes of finding her. She had never met either of her parents. Her aunt sold her, so she began to run away to escape a life controlled by others. By a twist of fate, she encountered Mo Jianchou, the figure from folk tales who killed without batting an eye. "You have beautiful eyes." Mo Jianchou took a liking to her eyes and brought her to Mo Wuqing, who wanted to exchange eyes with the woman he loved. By chance, she encountered her biological father. She begins cultivating at an immortal sect.
