Lu Chen had been living an ordinary, peaceful life, until his younger sister Lu Yao suddenly disappeared. A diary and a note in her room pointed him toward the Abyssal Sanatorium. He went there and explained the situation to Director Jiang Bai, who allowed him to stay and search for her. As Lu Chen settled in and investigated, he encountered strange phenomena and patients who had gone mad. While restraining one of them, he unexpectedly saw the patient's memories, but Jiang Bai insisted it was a hallucination. Lu Chen continued his investigation in secret and discovered the basement's secrets. Jiang Bai never caught him, but he still couldn't find his sister. Instead, his resolve to uncover the sanatorium's secrets only grew stronger.
