In 2035, Asala, a nation in northern Africa, is plunged into war.
A coup tears apart this resource-rich country. The technological supremacy of the Hafuk Group, the GTI's global intervention, and the Asala Guard's local resistance collide in a fierce three-way conflict.
Kane, an elite GTI agent, was once the organization's sharpest weapon.
But during a mission at Zero Dam, he is betrayed by his most trusted deputy, Wei Long. As magnetic mines roar, Kane is left gravely wounded and on the brink of death. The "Heart of Africa" he fought so hard to seize is stolen, and the GTI's glory and faith crumble with it.
Tariq is an ordinary scout in the Asala Guard, a tough man hardened by war.
He finds Kane barely alive in the ruins and risks being hunted down by the warlord Reis to bring him back to camp. From then on, Kane assumes the name "Karim," becomes an ordinary soldier in the Asala Guard, and sets out on a path of revenge and redemption.
The Heart of Africa, the key to the Mandel Brick, the turning point of fate.
This deep-blue crystal is not only the energy core coveted by the Hafuk Group, but also the key to an ancient Asalan legend. Kane gradually discovers that his being reborn is mysteriously connected to the crystal.
From an abandoned GTI asset to commander of Asala, Kane's rise is forged through trials of blood and fire.
Drawing on his GTI tactical experience, he leads Asalan militia against the Hafuk mechanical legions. He maneuvers through the power struggle between the warlord Reis and Guard leader Sayid, exposing the dirty deals between the GTI and Hafuk. At last, he faces Wei Long and the ultimate threat of the Mandel Brick, using his wit and courage to rewrite Asala's destiny.
