I, Sha Zhu, Join the Chat Group

I’m He Yuzhu. Everyone calls me Silly Zhu and says I’m a bit slow, but they don’t know that I’m just pretending to be foolish while hiding great wisdom.

So what if I bring food home for Qin Huairu, lend her money, and share my ration coupons? Helping her is only right.

I’m a chef, earning thirty-seven yuan and fifty cents a month. I can’t even spend it all.

But then one day, I joined a chat group, and someone in it called me an idiot. They said I’d helped Qin Huairu’s family, but they were just treating me like an ATM.

I didn’t believe it. They had to be lying. But when the things my fellow group members said kept coming true, I began to question my whole life. Had everything I’d done before been wrong?
