Long Zhi is 30 years old and has served in the special forces for 12 years. On the day of his retirement, he receives a secret order from the Beijing Military Region: he is to form and lead a covert unit called Dragon Shadow. Its members will be retired special forces soldiers and Communist Party members. The unit will handle missions that regular forces cannot, such as rescuing Chinese citizens caught up in telecom fraud along the China-Myanmar border, or carrying out flood rescue and disaster relief. This unit is neither wholly righteous nor wholly wicked. It has no official designation and no uniforms. Its only limit is that its funding is unlimited! The sole female lead, Feng Miaogui, is the only woman in the unit, the male lead’s beloved, and an outstanding sniper.
