A Deadly Game: Working Alongside Ruan Lanzhu

(Not a single one of you is allowed to die. All of you, stay alive.)

“Bro, you and Yan-ge have to be happy together.”

I, Ling Jiulei, was Ling Jiushi's younger brother.

Then an accident took me away!!!

I knew my brother and his good friend Gao Dawei were making a game.

A misunderstanding drove them apart, and before the accident, I emailed him about it.

The Spirit Realm!!

Gao Dawei made it, but the United States took it over and added a lot of gore and erotic content.

Unwilling to see the game ruined, he locked the twelfth door before the Americans could get to it and added an evolution program to the code. He was Yan Lanchu.

I was a die-hard fan of Fatal Game. I worked myself to death, transmigrated into Ling Jiushi's younger brother, but my good fortune didn't last. I knew what was going to happen next.

I asked Gao Dawei to write me into the game as a program, the final and true evolution program behind Yan Lanchu, so I could travel through the worlds behind the doors as an NPC and help them.

He said, “Then you won't be able to leave the worlds behind the doors.”

I said, “No problem. As long as I can stay alive.”

Yan Lanchu knew I was like him. He only knew I was an NPC like him, and nothing else.

Then one day, when he opened the front door of his home, the familiar hallway had become a long corridor.

At either end of the corridor stood twelve identical iron doors.

And so the story began.

Yan Lanchu said to Ling Jiushi, “When you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes back at you.”

(Save everyone. Not a single one of them can die.)
