In the fall of 2010, Lin Yang, a young man from Sichuan, and Xu Qinghuan, a girl from Jiangsu, meet at Tsinghua University’s library while fighting over a seat. Though they study different subjects, he in engineering and she in business and economics, they find themselves working together in a mathematical modeling course.
