Detective Conan: Her Brother Isn't a Temple Abbot

About how I didn't find out until after my best friend died that her brother wasn't the head priest of a temple.

I mean... Isn't it exhausting to sweep so many graves?

In a nutshell: lots of original content, with a little from the original storyline.

You can think of it as an original story set against the Detective Conan backdrop, but it still has ties to the original characters.

As the title suggests, it's centered on Hagi. There's a lot left unsaid.

A short story, happy ending, third-person perspective, slow burn, and a pile of foreshadowing. Almost every sentence might point to the ending.

First-person narration, so read with caution. The goal is around 20,000 words. I'm only writing this to sort out the foreshadowing for my long story.

Lastly, it has nothing to do with the main storyline. It takes place five years after the Conan timeline. The heroine is childhood friends with Kaito and Aoko, and the story is told in flashback.

It's just a little short story, so enjoy it as a quick bite.

Be sure to check the author's notes in the chapters for annotations explaining things you might not understand.
