Lin Wan'er, a modern office worker, stays up late watching palace intrigue dramas and dies suddenly. When she opens her eyes, she has transmigrated into the abandoned consort of the Cold Palace in the Great Zhou Dynasty. The original owner was poisoned after offending the empress and is on the verge of death. Just as she despairs, a mysterious Palace Intrigue System suddenly activates and issues a mission: Get the emperor's attention to receive a beginner's medical skill!
To survive, Lin Wan'er has no choice but to embark on a perilous path through the palace intrigues. Using the skills and information provided by the System, she rises step by step from an abandoned consort in the Cold Palace: she catches the emperor's attention with her unique insights at a flower-viewing banquet in the imperial garden, allies with Consort Shu against the empress, exposes plots in the harem, and ultimately ascends to the empress's throne.
But behind the pinnacle of power, countless undercurrents are at work. The emperor's suspicions, court rivalries, and the consorts' schemes in the harem... Lin Wan'er must use her wit and strategy to face them all. From an abandoned consort in the Cold Palace to an empress dowager who commands the realm, every step is fraught with danger, yet she never regrets a single one.
