Chapter One: An Unexpected Transmigration
One night in 2023, Zhou Weiguo, a graduate student in history, falls asleep from exhaustion while researching the Defense of Nanjing in the library. When he wakes, he discovers that he has transmigrated to Nanjing in 1937 and become an ordinary soldier in the Nationalist army.
#### Chapter Two: The System Awakens
Just as Zhou Weiguo is at a loss, a mechanical voice suddenly rings out in his mind: “Ding! The Kill Enemies, Get Gear System has been activated! The Host can earn random rewards, including equipment, skills, and supplies, by killing enemies.” Zhou Weiguo realizes this may be the key to surviving in this era and changing history.
#### Chapter Three: First Victory
The Japanese artillery assault on Nanjing is already drawing near, and Zhou Weiguo's unit is ordered to defend the outer line. In his first battle, he uses grenades and a marksmanship skill obtained from the System to kill several Japanese soldiers, earning a German Mauser rifle and a tactical map as drops.
