Synopsis:
A legend has long circulated through the martial world: those who obtain the Heavenly Art can live forever.
In his later years, Emperor Taizong of Tang, Li Shimin, became obsessed with the pursuit of immortality. He summoned Li Chunfeng, whose name was known throughout the realm, and ordered him to seek out and identify the “Heavenly Art” that could grant eternal life. Knowing he could not defy the emperor’s command, Li Chunfeng took the Xuanjia Army granted to him by Emperor Taizong and searched far and wide.
Yuan Tiangang was the legendary figure who had worked with Li Chunfeng to interpret the “Tui Bei Tu.” Afterward, Yuan Tiangang understood that Li Chunfeng’s talent far surpassed his own. Before Yuan Tiangang ascended, he sat and talked with Li Chunfeng through the night.
He spoke once more of those words that could never be fully expressed, of the endless cycles of the Heavenly Dao that could never be fully described.
As Li Chunfeng searched far and wide and found nine Heavenly Arts capable of granting immortality, he came to understand more and more deeply what terrible consequences the arts that defied fate would bring.
So he ditched the Xuanjia Army, hid away the nine Heavenly Arts, and went alone to see Li Shimin.
