Reborn in the Music World: From the Classroom to the Throne of the King of Songs

Lin Chen was struck by a truck while saving a young woman from a music shop. When he opened his eyes again, he was back in a senior-year classroom in 2018.

The college entrance exam countdown on the blackboard glared at him, but he stared out the window and hummed the melody of “The Wind Rises,” a song that had yet to be released.

At the school’s pledge rally, his performance of “Our Legend” set the whole school alight: “Though the road ahead is long, a wanderer’s dreams will never die!”

Three months later, with his acceptance letters from Tsinghua and Peking University in hand, he opened the door to a recording studio. The history of the music scene was about to be rewritten.

Five years later, at the finals of King of Singers, a veteran member of the national team held his hand and said with a sigh:

“That song you sang before the college entrance exams saved my depressed son’s life.”
