The Pretty Boy Husband of the Seventies Is Sweet on the Outside, Dark on the Inside

Chen Xiaohua, the youngest daughter of the village chief in Xiaoqingshan Village, rescues a frail, impoverished young man from the mountain and insists on marrying him, no matter what.

Shen Yanzhou can neither carry heavy loads nor do manual labor, so the villagers gossip behind his back. Chen Xiaohua plants her hands on her hips and says, “So what? My man isn’t eating your rice!”

Later, Shen Yanzhou’s business flourishes, and people around them say a country woman like Chen Xiaohua isn’t good enough for him. Shen Yanzhou just smiles faintly. “So what? As long as I love my wife, that’s all that matters.”

The heroine falls in love with the hero at first sight because of his good looks. At first, it’s very much a one-sided crush; later, they fall for each other, and the hero becomes completely devoted to his wife.
