The Eldest Senior Brother of Fangcun Mountain

Sun Wukong will not journey west. He will not journey west. He will not journey west. Important things deserve to be said three times. Patriarch Bodhi is the strongest character in this book, and the protagonist barely appears. Most of the story is about Sun Wukong.

At the Slanted Moon and Three Stars Cave on Fangcun Mountain, Patriarch Bodhi has a highly accomplished senior disciple named Xuanming. Gifted and taught his master's true art, he unexpectedly forms an unbreakable bond with the mischievous Sun Wukong. Proud by nature and extraordinarily perceptive, Sun Wukong sees Xuanming not merely as a senior brother, but as a quietly protective elder brother who teaches him magic and guides him onto the right path.

But the Heavenly Court's conspiracy gradually comes to light. After Sun Wukong causes havoc in Heaven, he is imprisoned beneath Five Elements Mountain. When Xuanming learns the truth, he boldly storms the Heavenly Court, determined to win justice for his junior brother. As the Heavenly Court and their sect struggle for power, Xuanming discovers that a greater secret lies behind Sun Wukong's imprisonment: the Heavenly Court intends to extract his primordial power to strengthen its rule.

Xuanming maneuvers through the Heavenly Court, matching wits with gods and immortals while searching for a way to free Sun Wukong. He must contend not only with the Court's formidable forces, but also uncover the ties between his sect and the Heavenly Court. Patriarch Bodhi's warnings, the Queen Mother of the West's interference, and the guidance of a mysterious voice make this adventure all the more perplexing.
