Lin Xiaoyu moves into an old apartment. The furnishings are simple, with only the enormous full-length mirror standing out as strangely out of place. Its frame is carved with intricate patterns and looks quite old. At first, Lin Xiaoyu pays it no mind, but soon she realizes that her reflection seems to have a will of its own.
Whenever the night grows quiet, the “her” in the mirror begins making movements different from Lin Xiaoyu's, even wearing a bizarre smile. Lin Xiaoyu tries to escape, only to find that some kind of force in the mirror has trapped her inside the apartment. As time passes, the “her” in the mirror grows more and more real, even trying to take Lin Xiaoyu's place.
Lin Xiaoyu gradually realizes that this is no ordinary mirror, but a gateway to another world. The “her” in the mirror is Lin Xiaoyu from another dimension, longing to escape the mirror's confines and take over her body in the real world. To survive, Lin Xiaoyu must uncover the mirror's secrets and find a way to seal away the “her” inside it.
But the truth is far more terrifying than she could have imagined. An ancient curse lies hidden behind the mirror, and Lin Xiaoyu's arrival is what has caused it to awaken again. Before the “her” in the mirror can take over her body completely, she must find a way to break the curse. Otherwise, she will be trapped in the mirror forever, becoming the next “person in the mirror.”
