[Supernatural] [Mystery] [Twists] [A Touch of Horror]
I was painting eyes on a paper effigy in the middle of the night when a woman, dripping wet from head to toe, barged into my workshop.
She pointed at a blank scroll and said, "Paint me a wedding dress. I'll come back for it in three days."
The next day, my neighbor's entire family died suddenly. Their bodies bore bizarre marks like painted patterns, with blood-red udumbara flowers blooming across their skin.
Forced into the Lu family's century-old curse, I can see the obsessions of the dead with the golden seal on my left hand, and alter fated prophecies with the brush in my right.
Then one night, after I personally tattooed a rebirth incantation onto a twin ghost, he grabbed me by the throat and sneered, "The golden seal on your wrist bears my sister's birth date."
To stay alive, I have no choice but to:
Paint new skin for a drowned ghost to change its fate, embroider a soul-garment for a wrongfully killed bride, and draw a karmic formation on the flesh and bones of the living...
Until I unroll the Bloodsea Wedding Gown, and three hundred tormented faces scream from the painting.
Every one of them is my own!
"You thought you were helping the dead move on?"
The woman in a corpse's burial gown clasps my fingers in the mirror.
"You're the final offering we chose."
