The Radiance of the Sword

Lu Chen is an orphan from a remote town in Beiju Luzhou. Born with a “body without apertures,” he cannot sense spiritual energy. But after wandering into the ancient battlefield known as the Sword Burial Mound as a child, he became host to a remnant of sword intent in his soul. This sword intent is the legacy of an ancient “Heaven-defier.” It grants him the power to kill enemies above his level at the cost of burning through his lifespan, but also draws the pursuit of powerful factions. He sets out on the path of cultivation to uncover the mystery of his origins, only to be swept into the whirlpool of the martial world and the imperial court, where he is forced to become a “fate-slayer.”
