All Zhaohua wanted in this life was to mine ore and raise her younger brother. Instead, while digging in a forbidden zone, she unearthed a madly beautiful man with a Godslayer Lock wound around his wrist. He licked the blood from the corner of her eye and smiled: "Little blind girl, in your bones... flows a bloodlust that could defy the heavens."
That night, a blood moon hung in the sky and divine fire slaughtered her village. Her right eye suddenly burned.
The causes and effects of all things transformed into blood-red threads! To bring three hundred villagers back to life, she bit through the red thread of "village slaughter." Her left leg rotted into pus, yet she ran straight into the enforcement swords of the Nine Luminaries Star Palace.
"The gods love all mortals?" Later, she crushed the jade steps of the Heavenly Ruins and held her spearpoint to a god's throat. "Your spiritual marrow is steeped in human blood, your divine robes are wrapped in vengeful spirits, and even the laws of Heaven... were stolen!"
The day her memories returned, she touched the divine markings in her palm, which shared the same origin as Xuan Ming's, and suddenly laughed through her tears.
"I've died for you so many times. This time, you will remember me." Amid the karmic flames, Chong Yuan pressed his forehead to hers. "Little blind girl, Heaven won't let you open your eyes..."
She tore the wheel of karma apart with her bare hands. Her knuckles whitened, yet she laughed without restraint. "Then I'll burn the heavens and open my eyes myself!"
