The Underworld's Therapist

[Mystery + alternate world + fantasy + coming-of-age heroine + devoted love]

(This is a story set in an alternate world, and some terms have been given new meanings. We hope you’ll understand, and thank you so much!)

He Yiwei had just landed her first proper job, and her future was only beginning to unfold, when fate played its most absurd trick on her: a sudden car accident brought her life to an abrupt end.

But death was not the end. It was the beginning of a mystery.

She should have been able to enter the cycle of reincarnation without a hitch, but the Underworld’s “Human Resources Department” told her, “Your allotted lifespan isn’t over. This has been ruled an unjust death!” So she was personally recruited by Bai Si, the mysterious and stern head of the Reincarnation Bureau, and became an intern at the Grievance Resolution Bureau. Her job was to help spirits with unfinished obsessions let go of their resentment and enter the cycle of reincarnation.

As she encountered all kinds of spirits, she listened to their regrets, anger, and grievances on this path of “supernatural counseling.” While comforting the spirits, she thought she was simply helping them resolve their grievances, until she gradually noticed clues pointing to her own death...

[Was it an accident, or was it deliberate?]

Even stranger, the entire Underworld seemed shrouded in a thick fog: secrets sealed away for a century, a mysteriously malfunctioning reincarnation system, and spirits vanishing without a trace...

As she investigated further, the truth began to emerge, and danger quietly closed in...
