There are people who face powerful enemies with the spirit of “marching three thousand miles through war, one sword holding back a million foes.” When faced with life and death, they have the courage to say, “Since ancient times, who has not faced death? I leave my loyal heart to shine through history.” Even when they can barely look after themselves, they still hold fast to the belief, “Though I lie alone in a village, I do not grieve for myself; I still dream of guarding the frontier for my country.” And even at the very end of their lives, what remains in their hearts is the conviction, “When the imperial army retakes the Central Plains, do not forget to tell your father at the family sacrifice!”
It is because these people stood firm, because they worked so hard, because they never gave up, that they ultimately forged the most heroic spirit in human history. We call it a loyal soul!
Though a million stand in my way, I will go! Though the journey is a million miles, I will press on day and night! I know it may be impossible, but I will do it anyway, for nothing but a loyal heart that remains steadfast through every trial!
“Give your life for your country! Lay it down for righteousness! Better to die upright than live in shame! Kill!!!”
The story may not have begun here, but it ends here...
Good, good, good book, worth reading
