The Black Tortoise Rises Again

(Fictional) In the final years of the Southern Song, the young Zhang Xianzhong takes command of the Black Tortoise bronze tally and lays a deadly trap across the waterways of Jianghuai. Armored ships sink into the river, fire crows scorch the sky. Wielding the watertight dragon-bone compartment inherited from his forebears like a sword, he fights his way through the treachery of court and the iron cavalry of the Yuan. The court and the martial world are both battlefields; the waves conceal the undying fervor of three hundred thousand fallen souls, while the ripples reflect the young general’s undying loyalty.
