Archaeological expert Wang Jun's soul lands in a barren land during the era of the Seven Warring States. After initially surviving alone, he gradually integrates into human society, using modern knowledge to get the states to invest by making salt and medicine, and to open up trade routes. In secret, he helps Ying Zheng promote agriculture, develop industry, and build a commercial empire spanning seven regions, until China is unified.
He standardizes the written language, the width of roads and carts, weights and measures, customs, and territory; establishes schools and the imperial examination system; and builds granaries, bringing peace and prosperity to the land.
He saves Han Fei, recruits Li Mu, executes Liu Bang, tricks Xiang Yu into joining him, seeks out Han Xin, and helps Great Qin campaign across the south and north.
