A Promise Beneath the Stars

“Your face is bare of makeup, yet I’ve fallen madly in love.”

A summer romance and a winter romance, a love that takes both smooth and rocky roads, and promises made beneath the stars at night.

Su Chen is an ordinary high school boy with slightly above-average looks. He likes to joke around, is polite, and usually ranks somewhere in the middle of his class. He meets Lin Meng, a strikingly beautiful girl, at the school sports meet. With her glamorous appearance and fair skin, Lin Meng is the goddess of countless boys. As it happens, Wang Zifeng, Su Chen’s best friend, is in the same class.

What sparks will fly between Wang Zifeng and Lin Jiamin at the sports meet? What sweet moments will Yang Dong and Ye Liya share after their fateful encounter? Though Ye Liya is every bit as beautiful as Lin Meng, she chooses Yang Dong among all the boys.

There is the sweetness of Yang Dong and Ye Liya on the tree-lined paths of campus, fingernails trailing across Su Chen’s back, the flutter of meeting Lin Meng’s gaze, and the question of how Gu Lan feels about Su Chen. Meanwhile, the rift between Zhang Wenhao and Su Chen deepens.

Why does Yang Dong disappear in the end? Why do Su Chen and Lin Meng face so many twists and turns? How will Wang Zifeng and Lin Jiamin’s story unfold? And why is Niu Xinrong growing ever more distant from Cui Yuxi?
